2020 Reopening Plan  (Download PDF)

Phase 3

Starting Wednesday, Sept. 9th & Sunday, Sept. 13

Hello church family!

I am excited to remind you that Phase 3 of our Reopening Plan begins Wednesday, September 9th at 6 pm in the worship center. The purpose of Phase 3 is to return to in-person ministry on Wednesday nights and to re-establish Children’s Church, Preschool Extended Session and the Adult Sanctuary Choir on Sundays.

As we return to in-person ministries on Wednesday nights, we are placing a renewed emphasis on Family Worship. Each Wednesday at 6pm, every age group will begin together in our worship center before dismissing to their various age-graded ministries (Preschool, Children, Students, etc.). During this time, our church family and each family within the church will have the unique opportunity to worship with one another in ways that will help to promote cross-generational discipleship.

If your family isn’t able to attend with you on Wednesdays, please come join our family as an honorary child, parent or grandparent. Whatever your situation, we hope you will come as you are.

On Sundays, we plan to offer both Children’s Church and Preschool Extended Session, but we need your help! Each week, we need 10-12 adults who are willing to serve our children in a rotating schedule. If you would like to help, please contact Karen Duggan or Kayla Lock in our church office by phone or email. In addition, our Sanctuary Choir is ready to return and will begin a new time for rehearsal this Sunday afternoon at 4:30 in the worship center. Whether you’ve sang in the choir for years or would like to try it out for the first time, contact David Duggan with any questions. As with all of our ministers, his contact information is available through our Staff page.

Two final notes of importance:

  • We are updating our policy regarding face coverings. Masks are required when entering, exiting and moving around our buildings or anytime social distancing is not possible.
  • While we are still not allowing food in our buildings, coffee will be available at two coffee stations beginning this Sunday. These stations are located in the Welcome Center and in the FLC Coffee Shop area.

Thank you church for your continuing flexibility and spirit of cooperation. With your help, I believe the Lord has big things in store for us – even in this difficult season.

Senior Pastor
