Covid-19 Updates

Update March 18

Update March 16

After seeking wise counsel and with much prayer, we have decided to temporarily move our worship services and Sunday School to an online-only format until at least March 30.  This decision means that all in-person gatherings are cancelled for the next 2 weeks.  During this time, we will be working hard to provide high-quality, online worship services and Sunday School options as well as providing our custodial staff the time to deep clean all of our facilities.

This decision does not mean we will stop ministering the Good News of Jesus to our church family and to our community.  In fact, it will allow us the opportunity to introduce our friends and family to our ministries in a whole new way.  In light of this fact, I ask our church family to continue supporting our ministries faithfully through our online giving portal or via the U.S. mail.

The Gospel of Jesus is powerful and needed more than ever during this unprecedented season of uncertainty.  While we will not gather in person these next two weeks, we are still the church – and I know that God will provide us multiple opportunities to serve others in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

COMMUNICATIONS | UPDATES
We will disseminate official announcements & updates using three different platforms.

  1. First Baptist Lakeside Website: www.fblakeside.net
  2. First Baptist Lakeside Master Email List: submit address to
  3. First Baptist Lakeside Facebook Page

Once information has been distributed through these platforms, it may be passed along by our ministry and lay leaders. This will ensure that all information is coming directly from church leadership.

SANITIZING | DEEP CLEANING
Our First Baptist Lakeside Custodial Staff will continue to thoroughly clean our facilities to ensure they are properly sanitized. Presently, access to our Church Building will be limited in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. This should allow our building to rest in a sanitized state and help to minimize the chance for infection to you and both our ministry and support staff.
